Event coordinators, guest and VIP hosts, registration and help-desk staff, transport and pickup coordinators, AV and stage crew, content creators, anchors, setup and decor crew, catering service staff and kids’ activity hosts. Choose every role you can do; experienced people and newcomers who want to learn are both welcome.
- Register once. Your details stay with the GI.EVENTS team and are not shown on the website.
- We match events to people. When an event needs a role in or near your city, the team looks at who has registered for it.
- We get in touch. If there is a fit, we contact you by phone or email with the event, the dates and the terms for that event.
Always open: a registration, not a job opening
The freelancer network is a standing list of event professionals that GI.EVENTS can call on when an event needs extra hands. It is open all year and is not tied to any job vacancy.
Why we keep a registered network
Weddings are often planned months ahead, which leaves time to find people. Many other events are not: birthday parties, corporate events, launches and family functions often come to us with only days or a few weeks to go, in cities across India. There is no time then to advertise a vacancy and wait for applications. A list of people who have already told us their roles, city, languages and travel range lets our team find the right person quickly.
How and when we use it
- An event comes in. A client books GI.EVENTS for an event in a particular city on particular dates.
- We look for the roles it needs. Our team checks who has registered for those roles in or near that city, or who is ready to travel there.
- We contact a few people. We call or email them with the event, the dates, the work and the terms for that event, and they decide whether to take it up.
- Nothing happens in between. If no event near you needs your role, we will not contact you, and your registration simply stays on the list for the next one.
Common questions
Is this a job opening?
No. This is a standing registration for freelance event professionals, and it stays open all year. There is no vacancy, no fixed number of positions, no closing date and no salary. Registering does not mean you are hired.
Why is registration always open?
Many events, such as birthday parties and corporate events, are planned at short notice. Keeping a list of registered professionals helps our team find the right person in the right city quickly when an event comes in.
How will I hear about work?
When an event in or near your city, or in a place you are ready to travel to, needs one of your roles, our team may contact you by phone or email with the event, the dates and the terms for that event. You can then decide whether to take it up.
Is registration free?
Yes. GI.EVENTS never asks for money to register or to be offered work.

Roles with a fixed position, when there are any, are listed on the Careers page with their own details and closing dates.
How do I update my details?
