Buses, Tempo Travellers & Caravans for Events
Plan buses, tempo travellers, mini coaches and caravans to move family and guests for weddings and events across India, with GI.EVENTS.
How GI.EVENTS can help with Group Transport & Caravans
Moving forty relatives from the station to the hotel, on to the venue and back again late at night is one of the hardest parts of any event to get right. GI.EVENTS helps you choose the right mix of buses, mini coaches and tempo travellers for your guest count and roads, plan pick-up points and timings around each function, and keep driver contacts in one place. For families who want to travel together, we can also ask operators about caravans where they are available. Vehicles, rates and permit papers are confirmed with the operator before booking.
- Matching vehicle sizes to guest groups, from small tempo travellers to full-size coaches
- Planning pick-ups from stations, airports, homes and hotels around each function
- Asking operators for registration, permit and insurance papers for the states on the route
- Allowing for hill roads, night journeys and driver rest on long days
- Asking operators about caravans with seats, beds and a small kitchen for families travelling together
What to share in your brief
- Where guests start from and where the functions are
- How many people are travelling and how much luggage they carry
- The dates and rough timings of each journey
- Any guests who need help boarding, such as elders or wheelchair users
Common questions
Which vehicle suits our group size?
It depends on the model, but tempo travellers usually seat about 9 to 26 people, mini coaches about 25 to 35 and full-size coaches about 40 to 55. Luggage space matters as much as seats when guests arrive with suitcases, so our team checks both with the operator.
Can we hire a caravan for a family trip around the wedding?
Sometimes. A caravan, or motorhome, has seats, beds and often a small kitchen, so a family can travel and rest together. Caravan hire is newer in India and found in fewer places, so our team asks operators in your region what they have and confirms the details before you decide.
Do buses need special permits to travel to another state?
A bus or tempo traveller hired out for payment must be registered as a transport vehicle with a valid permit. For journeys across state borders, tourist vehicles usually run on an All India Tourist Permit or carry permits for each state on the route. We ask the operator for these papers before the trip.
Does GI.EVENTS own the buses?
No. Vehicles are owned and driven by transport operators, who set their own rates and terms. GI.EVENTS is an event facilitation, planning and coordination company: we help you choose vehicles, plan the timings and coordinate the drivers on the day.
Can we hire a bus or tempo traveller without an event?
Yes. A family trip, a pilgrimage, a school or office outing or a group journey to another city can all be planned with us. Share where you are going, how many people are travelling and your dates on our Travel & Stay page, and our team comes back with vehicle options and quotes.
Does GI.EVENTS add a fee on top of the transport quote?
No. Bus fares are usually worked out per day or per kilometre, and the figure we send already includes our part in planning the pick-ups and managing drivers on the day. Driver's night allowance, tolls, state entry taxes and parking are written into it too, so there is no surprise bill at the end of the trip.
We run buses or tempo travellers. How can we work with GI.EVENTS?
Register your vehicles on our group transport partner page. Our team reviews each application, and any working arrangement is agreed with you in writing first. Registering does not promise bookings.
