Trip Planning with Travel Agents in India
Plan family trips, pilgrimages and travel around a wedding or event with travel agents who know the region. GI.EVENTS helps you compare itineraries in India.
How GI.EVENTS can help with Trip Planning & Travel Agents
Some journeys need more than a ticket. A family going to a wedding in Udaipur may want two days in the city first, a group of cousins coming from Hyderabad may want to stop at Hampi on the way to a function in Bengaluru, and grandparents travelling for a pilgrimage need a pace that suits them. A travel agent who knows the place can put trains, flights, stays, local cabs and sightseeing into one day-by-day plan. GI.EVENTS helps you describe the trip once, asks travel agents and tour planners who know that region for itineraries, and helps you compare them before you decide. Fares, rooms and timings are confirmed with the agent before anything is booked.
- Writing one clear brief: who is travelling, from where, on which dates and at what pace
- Asking travel agents who know the destination for day-by-day itineraries
- Comparing what each itinerary includes, such as stays, meals, cabs, guides and entry tickets
- Fitting sightseeing days around wedding or event functions so nobody misses a ritual
- Planning rest days and shorter drives for elders, small children and guests with health needs
What to share in your brief
- Where the group starts from and the places you would like to see
- How many people are travelling, with their ages
- Your dates and any fixed days, such as a function or a darshan booking
- The kind of stay and the spending range you have in mind
Common questions
How is trip planning different from guest travel arrangements?
Guest travel arrangements move relatives to and from the functions: tickets, pickups and transfers. Trip planning is about the days around them, or a trip with no event at all: where to go, where to stay, what to see and how to move between places. Many families need a little of both, and our team can plan them together.
Can we plan a family trip or pilgrimage without any event?
Yes. A family holiday, a pilgrimage, a school or office trip or a reunion with old friends can be planned on its own. Share where you would like to go, who is travelling and your dates on our Travel & Stay page, and our team comes back with itineraries from travel agents who know that region.
Can you plan trips for relatives travelling from different cities?
Yes. When relatives start from different cities, the itinerary can begin with each group's own train or flight and bring everyone together at the destination on the same day, with a pickup planned for each arrival.
Do you help with places that need a travel permit?
Indian citizens visiting Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur usually need an Inner Line Permit, with some exemptions, and some border areas have their own entry rules. Relatives who are not Indian citizens need a different permit, such as a Protected Area Permit, so tell us early if any are travelling. These rules change, so the travel agent confirms the current requirement for your route and helps you apply where they can.
Is GI.EVENTS a travel agency?
No. GI.EVENTS is an event facilitation, planning and coordination company. Itineraries, packages and bookings come from travel agents and tour planners who set their own prices and terms. Our team helps you describe the trip, compare the options and keep the plan in one place.
Do we pay GI.EVENTS anything for planning the trip?
Not separately. Asking for itineraries costs you nothing, and when you choose one, the package price per person or per family is the whole amount, with our help already in it. Comparing two packages is easier this way, because neither has a hidden extra from us.
We are travel agents. How can we work with GI.EVENTS?
Register your agency on our travel agents partner page. Our team reviews each application, and any working arrangement is agreed with you in writing first. Registering does not promise bookings.
