Outfits for every function

A bride rarely wears one outfit. There may be yellow for the haldi, something light and bright for the mehndi, the wedding outfit itself and a different look for the reception. The wedding outfit often follows the family's region: a Banarasi silk saree, a Kanjeevaram for many Tamil brides, a nine-yard nauvari for many Maharashtrian brides or a heavy lehenga worn with the red chooda at many Punjabi weddings. Mothers, sisters and the groom's family want their outfits to sit well beside hers. A designer who plans the looks together, function by function, helps the whole family feel ready.

What brides ask a designer

Brides ask how heavy the finished outfit will be and whether they can sit comfortably through a long ceremony in it. Many ask whether their mother's or grandmother's saree can be reworked into a dupatta or blouse, so a piece of the family travels with them. They ask which fabrics stay cool at a summer wedding, how the dupatta will be pinned to stay in place during the rituals, and whether the last trial can be done with the jewellery. Tell us how you handle these in the form.

Why vendors join the GI.EVENTS family

  • Free to register. Registering and being listed under our Free Listing Terms costs you nothing at present.
  • You set your own price. You quote your own packages and decide whether to take up an enquiry.
  • Written terms first. How the work and payment are handled is agreed with you in writing before any booking.
  • One team on the day. Our GI Concierge team coordinates with you before and during the event, so everyone works to one plan.

Can I register from any city in India?

Yes. Vendors from anywhere in India can apply. Tell us where your business is based and the cities you serve.

Does registering list my business on the website?

No. Applying does not create a public listing, verification or partnership. Our team reviews each application, may ask for business, pricing and document details, and any working relationship needs separate approval and agreement. Registering does not promise enquiries or bookings.

Questions bridal designers ask

How do I get more bridal wear orders?

Share photos of lehengas, sarees, gowns or outfits you have designed, and say whether you stitch to measure or sell ready pieces. When a bride near you is looking for her outfits, our team may contact you. Registering does not promise orders.

Can a small boutique or home tailor join?

Yes. Boutiques, home tailors and karigar workshops can apply alongside designer labels. Tell us your speciality, such as zardozi, gota or chikankari, and the cities you work in.

Do I set my own prices and number of fittings?

Yes. Quote per outfit, say how many fittings are included and how long stitching takes, and decide which enquiries to accept.

Can I list outfits for rent?

Yes. Rental lehengas, sarees and outfits are welcome. Mention sizes, the deposit and how cleaning and alterations are handled.

Will I work with your team before the wedding?

On events we plan, our GI Concierge team fixes fitting dates around the function dates and shares the colour palette with the decorator and jewellery vendor, so the whole look comes together.
