Entertainment that brings guests together
A good anchor introduces both families, keeps the evening moving and makes the shy relatives laugh. Folk artists bring the sound of a region to the stage, from a bhangra troupe at many Punjabi weddings to a qawwali at many Muslim celebrations or a Rajasthani folk group at a welcome dinner. A magician or puppeteer keeps the children happy, and a ghazal or bhajan singer gives the elders something to enjoy. Company award nights, school annual days and community festivals need the same skills.
Folk and traditional artists
Many traditional art forms are kept alive by families who have performed for generations, and many senior artists still teach younger ones. If you perform a folk dance, music or storytelling form of your region, tell us its name, where it comes from and which occasions it suits. Families planning an event in your region often want guests to see something of the place, and our team would like to know who to call.
Why vendors join the GI.EVENTS family
- Free to register. Registering and being listed under our Free Listing Terms costs you nothing at present.
- You set your own price. You quote your own packages and decide whether to take up an enquiry.
- Written terms first. How the work and payment are handled is agreed with you in writing before any booking.
- One team on the day. Our GI Concierge team coordinates with you before and during the event, so everyone works to one plan.
Can I register from any city in India?
Yes. Vendors from anywhere in India can apply. Tell us where your business is based and the cities you serve.
Does registering list my business on the website?
No. Applying does not create a public listing, verification or partnership. Our team reviews each application, may ask for business, pricing and document details, and any working relationship needs separate approval and agreement. Registering does not promise enquiries or bookings.
Questions performers and entertainers ask
How do I get more event performance bookings?
Share videos of your act, whether you anchor, dance, sing, perform magic or entertain children, and the cities you perform in. When a family or company near you plans an event, our team may contact you for a quote. Registering does not promise bookings.
Can a solo performer or anchor join without GST?
Yes. Solo performers and anchors with a PAN can apply, and no GST number is needed to apply. Most service providers do not need GST registration until their yearly turnover across India goes above Rs 20 lakh (Rs 10 lakh in Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura); some cases need registration sooner. During review our team may ask for your GSTIN, Udyam number or PAN.
Do I set my own fee per show?
Yes. Quote per show or per hour, and say whether travel and stay are extra.
What should I share about my act?
Say how long your act runs, the languages you perform in, what stage, sound and lighting you need, and whether it suits children and elders, so families can picture it at their event.
Will I work with your team on the event day?
On events we plan, our GI Concierge team shares the running order, your stage time and a sound check slot with you in advance, so you know when you are on.
