List your decoration business with GI.EVENTS
Decor that follows the ritual
Good wedding decor begins with the ceremony. The mandap needs room for the sacred fire, the family and the pandit ji; a nikah needs space for the qazi, the couple and their witnesses, often with a floral curtain between bride and groom; an Anand Karaj takes place before the Guru Granth Sahib and calls for simple, respectful decor in the gurdwara. A South Indian wedding entrance is often framed with banana plants, and marigold and mango-leaf torans welcome guests in many homes. A decorator who knows why each element is there can make it beautiful without getting in the way of the ritual.
What families ask a decorator
Families ask what happens at an open-air venue if it rains, and whether you work within the venue's rules on open flames, nails in walls and closing time. They also ask how you keep walkways, stage steps and cables safe for elders and children. Clear answers here help a family trust you with the look of their day.
Why vendors join the GI.EVENTS family
- Free to register. Registering and being listed under our Free Listing Terms costs you nothing at present.
- You set your own price. You quote your own packages and decide whether to take up an enquiry.
- Written terms first. How the work and payment are handled is agreed with you in writing before any booking.
- One team on the day. Our GI Concierge team coordinates with you before and during the event, so everyone works to one plan.
Can I register from any city in India?
Yes. Vendors from anywhere in India can apply. Tell us where your business is based and the cities you serve.
Does registering list my business on the website?
No. Applying does not create a public listing, verification or partnership. Our team reviews each application, may ask for business, pricing and document details, and any working relationship needs separate approval and agreement. Registering does not promise enquiries or bookings.
Questions decorators ask
How do I get more wedding decoration orders in my city?
Share photos of mandaps, stages, entrances and haldi or mehndi setups you have built, with the venue and city. When a family near you plans an event in your style, our team may contact you for a quote. Registering does not promise orders.
Can a small decoration business join without GST?
Yes. Small decoration businesses and individual decorators with a PAN can apply, and no GST number is needed to apply. Most service providers do not need GST registration until their yearly turnover across India goes above Rs 20 lakh (Rs 10 lakh in Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura); some cases need registration sooner. During review our team may ask for your GSTIN, Udyam number or PAN.
Do I set my own decoration prices?
Yes. Quote for each setup or theme, say whether flowers are fresh or artificial and what is included in take-down, and decide which enquiries to accept.
What materials should decorators use?
Since 1 July 2022, identified single-use plastic items are banned in India, including polystyrene (thermocol) for decoration, plastic sticks for balloons, plastic flags and PVC banners under 100 microns. Families like to know the alternatives you use, so mention them in the form.
Will I work with your team on the event day?
On events we plan, our GI Concierge team agrees setup and take-down times with you and the venue in advance and checks power points and access with you, so the decor is ready before the guests arrive.
