List your catering business with GI.EVENTS
Food guests remember
Every region and every family has its own wedding food: litti chokha at a wedding lunch in Bihar, an Awadhi biryani at a Lucknow reception, a sadya served on banana leaves at a Kerala wedding, or a Jain menu cooked without onion, garlic or root vegetables. A caterer who can cook the family's own tradition, and cook it the way their grandmother would recognise, is valued long after the event.
What families ask a caterer
Families want to taste the menu before they decide, to know what the per-plate price includes, whether vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is cooked and served separately, and how many serving staff will be at the counters. Tell us how you handle each of these. If you work with a food-sharing group in your city, so that good surplus food reaches people who need it, tell us that too.
Why vendors join the GI.EVENTS family
- Free to register. Registering and being listed under our Free Listing Terms costs you nothing at present.
- You set your own price. You quote your own packages and decide whether to take up an enquiry.
- Written terms first. How the work and payment are handled is agreed with you in writing before any booking.
- One team on the day. Our GI Concierge team coordinates with you before and during the event, so everyone works to one plan.
Can I register from any city in India?
Yes. Vendors from anywhere in India can apply. Tell us where your business is based and the cities you serve.
Does registering list my business on the website?
No. Applying does not create a public listing, verification or partnership. Our team reviews each application, may ask for business, pricing and document details, and any working relationship needs separate approval and agreement. Registering does not promise enquiries or bookings.
Questions caterers ask
How do I get more wedding catering orders?
Share your menus, the cuisines you cook and photos of food and counters from past events. When a family near you plans an event for the number of guests you serve, our team may contact you for a quote. Registering does not promise orders.
Do caterers need FSSAI registration to join?
Food businesses in India, including caterers, register or are licensed with FSSAI under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Small food businesses usually start with basic registration. Our team asks for your FSSAI number during review.
Can a halwai or small home caterer join?
Yes. Halwais, home caterers and small catering teams can apply alongside larger caterers. Tell us your cuisine, the guest numbers you can serve and the cities you work in.
Do I set my own per-plate rates?
Yes. Quote per plate or per event for your own menus, say whether serving staff, crockery and live counters are included, and decide which enquiries to accept.
Will I work with your team on the event day?
On events we plan, our GI Concierge team keeps you updated on final guest numbers and serving times and coordinates with you at the venue, so serving stays on schedule.
