List your travel gear shop with GI.EVENTS
Gear for places guests have never been
A guest from a warm city who is invited to a wedding in Leh, a family function in Spiti or a winter celebration in Gulmarg often owns nothing warm enough for the nights there. Buying a down jacket, boots and thermal wear for one trip is costly, and most of it stays in a cupboard afterwards. A local shop that rents good, clean gear by the day, or sells it at a fair price, saves guests that cost and lets them enjoy the occasion instead of shivering through it.
What families ask a gear supplier
Families ask which sizes you keep in stock, and whether children's and elders' sizes are available, because a group of thirty guests is never one size. A family paying for its guests also likes a single bill for the whole group rather than thirty small ones. Answering these in the form helps our team suggest your shop for the right event.
Group kits and local goods
Some families like to welcome guests with a small kit: a woollen cap, gloves, sunscreen and a water bottle, sometimes with a local shawl or a pair of hand-knitted socks. If you can put such kits together, or stock goods made by weavers and knitters in your region, tell us. It gives guests something useful and keeps the spending in the local community.

Why vendors join the GI.EVENTS family
- Free to register. Registering and being listed under our Free Listing Terms costs you nothing at present.
- You set your own price. You quote your own packages and decide whether to take up an enquiry.
- Written terms first. How the work and payment are handled is agreed with you in writing before any booking.
- One team on the day. Our GI Concierge team coordinates with you before and during the event, so everyone works to one plan.
Can I register from any city in India?
Yes. Vendors from anywhere in India can apply. Tell us where your business is based and the cities you serve.
Does registering list my business on the website?
No. Applying does not create a public listing, verification or partnership. Our team reviews each application, may ask for business, pricing and document details, and any working relationship needs separate approval and agreement. Registering does not promise enquiries or bookings.
Questions travel gear shops ask
How do I get orders for guests travelling to the mountains?
Tell us what you rent and sell, how many pieces of each you can supply in common sizes, and the towns you deliver to. When a family plans an event in your region, our team may contact you for a quote. Registering does not promise orders.
Can a small rental shop join without GST?
Yes. Small shops and individual renters with a PAN can apply, and no GST number is required. Renting out gear counts as a service, where registration is usually needed once yearly turnover across India goes above Rs 20 lakh (Rs 10 lakh in Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura). A shop that only sells goods usually has a higher limit of Rs 40 lakh, lower in some states. Some cases, such as selling goods to buyers in another state, need registration sooner. Please check what applies to you with a chartered accountant.
Do I set my own rental rates and deposits?
Yes. Quote per day or per trip, say what deposit you take and how it is returned, and say whether cleaning and delivery are included. These terms are agreed with you in writing before any order.
How is cleaning of rented clothing handled?
Families expect jackets, thermal wear and sleeping bags to be washed or cleaned between renters. Tell us how you clean each item, so our team can share it with guests who ask.
How are deliveries coordinated with your team?
On events we plan, our GI Concierge team shares guest names, sizes and hotel arrival times with you in advance, and agrees a time for delivery and for collection after the event.
